Hi all. Greetings from sunny Vancouver BC. This is my first post and I hope you can help. I have my hitch successfully installed, Curt 11444, and am attempting to install the wiring harness for the trailer. The harness is a Modulite 18130 10 amp converter type. This is a cut and splice operation as there is no T connector type available on the planet for the '06 X-trail Bonavista. Two trailer dealers assure me that this is the setup I need, there being no requirement for a self powered harness and the converter translates the tow vehicle's separate signal and brake lights into the combined brake/signal filament on the trailer.
My problem is I can't find good info on the colour coding of the vehicle harness as it passes the spare tire. Can anyone tell me which wire is the right, left, brake and tail. And while we're at it, how do you remove those gargantuan taillight lenses. Thanks, TC.
