Sirs I would like some help on a 1997 Maxima I have a check engine light coming on and im getting codes (600) (720) and (443) the speedomotor was disconnected when i bought the car a few years back and connected it right away ... Now I went to get the car inspected and it failed it seems the previous owener had removed the check engine bulb so i never knew there was a problem I would like to know if anyone can help me with these codes since i don't see any relationship to them to each other ....... I don't have the codes your requesting but you can call the Nissan service shop and get them or for faster answer just search the code with google...
Good Luck

According to my Haynes repair manual, here's what the codes mean...
720 - Vehicle Speed sensor or circuit fault
600 - A/T Control Unit or circuit fault
443 - EVAP canister purge control valve circuit fault

I hope this helps. As far as a fix...I would assume, that when you reconnect the speedometer, the codes could be cleared by a place like Advance Auto parts. If not, you are going to have to go to a Nissan service center...but at least you know what the codes are now.
