Head Restraint Question / Request for Advice - 4/25/2007 10:35:57 AM

So I just took delivery of a shiny new 07 Altima 3.5SE.  I love it, but my girlfriend is short and HATES the active head restraints.  Says she can't put her head back, yada, yada, yada.

Has anyone here experienced this problem?  Is there anything that can be done?  I'm open to suggestions.  Modification of the factory headrest?  Replacement options?

Thanks!

Am experiencing the same problem with the 2008 Altima Coupe headrest.
On my new Altima the angle of the rest causes one to tilt the head forward.
I have looked at other Nissan headrest and have found that the 2007 Titan
Truck headrest is parelell to the seatback when mounted. It would be more
comfortable I would think.
My plan is to see if a local auto upholstry shop can modify the current headrest
and the cost of that compared to the cost of new Titan  rests from the dealer.
Dealer parts were quoted at $105 each!
I am concerned as to the saftey factor of modifying the original ones ~ but I think
that a good shop could make the mods to be equal or better than original.

Alternative option: 1. Get a new girlfriend that is hump backed!
                            2. Get a new girfriend that is 4' tall.
                            3. Buy a Titan!
