I have a 2005 Pathfinder and it won't start.  It turns over fine, but won't run.  Has 16K miles on it.  I went to start it and slipped off the key in "mid-start".  Now, it will not start at all.  I tried to follow the owners manuel to start it with gas pedal all the way down for 5 seconds, then try again with foot off pedal ...proceedures from Nissan on starting if flooded.  Is it possible it is just flooded and needs to sit awhile?  Any help would be appreciated.

no most fuel injected vehicles dont flood that easy, try to reset your ecu by disconnecting the negative battery cable for ten minutes and reconnect and try to start again unless your car is still under warrenty just take it to your nissan dealer and they would fix it for free since its 3 year 36k mile basic warrenty. also call the dealer first and see if they have a free roadside assistance towing before calling your own tow truck cause our dealer has the free roadside assistance. let us know if any progress

Hey HXC, thanks for the reply.  I just bought the Pathfinder earlier that evening, so this is a new to me vehicle...2005-16K miles.  Turns out that the dealer had not programmed the transponder in the spare keys.  The set my wife had was good, but the other 2 sets were not programmed.  I just wasn't aware that the vehicle would even attempt to start when a security feature was active.  I got it started by resetting the vehicle with her key, and then went down to Nissan and they programmed the other 2 plus gave me an additional key (programmed) for my inconvenience.  I guess if the starter had not kicked in, that would have clued me in on a "security issue".  Thanks again though.
