if your car is a 2007 and under 35,000 miles, your car should still be under warrenty, so if I were you i would bring it to a nissan dealer and have them fix it for free under warrenty.

What happened when the battery discharged, because this is the first time that I have heard of it happening with no explanation.  I accidentally killed mine once doing something out of the scope of the automatic lights system.  (Long story...)  Can you elaborate more as to when it happened, was it at home, how long since you had been out to the car, any lights left on inside (even though the car normally turns these off), etc...

We have a 2007 Altima (purchased in February) and it's been the shop 7 times (with only 1,000 miles on it!).  Twice the auto power windows would not go up with one touch and once after the car had set for 2 days without being driven, all the radio stations that had been set were wiped out (like a battery failure).  The dealership still doesn't know the answer to it.

Do you happen to have the SL package?  Seat heaters accidentally left on w/o engine running = dead battery.  Just a thought.
