I have a 2000 altima gxe. It comes stock with rear drums. I wanted to upgrade the rotors, but decided I should convert the rear drums to discs like those on the altima se. I'm just wondering what i need exactly to do the conversion. Can anyone list the parts I will need. Thanks

the best way to go about this is to check with a dealership parts person. some cars have everything different from the rotor, all the way to the master cylinder. it may just be chaging the hub and adding a rotor and caliper, but you will almost assuredly need the new suspension pieces that hold the caliper on, so forth..its almost always ALOT of work...

what i did it i bought a brake and rotor conversion from a 94 integra so that i would get disk brakes. its the best way. you should try to get the set off the SE, it would make things alot easier and they should bolt right on, i mean the shocks rotos and calipers everything. one piece.

kind of in a way. it is alot easier and sometimes cheaper. i know alot of people from the other forum i am on that do that. it saves alot of hassel later on when upgrading different parts for it, like easier to find coilovers or shocks for the new assembly. that is what i did and it was ALOT easier to find parts. they didnt make anything really for a 91 4dr at all so i had to customize it and it made life alot easier.
