Subject: Smog Test on 1999 Nissan Maxima
Notes: Has anyone had problems passing the Smog Test with their 1997-99
Nissan Maxima? I do not have an emissions problem, I have a computer or a
sensor problem? Is there a way to reset the sensors?

I barely missed passing the smog test. It passed above 25 mph & missed at
15 mph. So, I had a new catalytic converter installed, changed the oil &
flushed the radiator and went back after driving a combination of about 350
miles of Freeway and in town driving. But there were 4 senors that did not
reset.
after calling the Nissan service they told me that I had to run an 8-Part
very complecated driving test, twice in order to reset these sensors. They
also said that the computer used in an early model that they have been
having problems with.

My question is still, does anyone know how to fix this problem? Have anyone
else gon through this problem & fixed it?
