Hi everyone,

I've just bought myself a 1997 Nissan Serena 2.3D LX, only problem is that it won't start. So I thought somebody on here might be able to help as I can't find a Workshop Manual in the UK.

Anyway I have checked the fuel pump to injectors by pulling off the fuel pipe and cranking the engine, at that point fuel is pumped out so there is fuel getting to the injectors. The engine turns fine no problem there.  Now when I put my multi meter onto the glow plug feed cable I don't get any voltage at all, also the glow plug lamp doesn't light up on the dash board.  I have been quoted for two different relays from Nissan one @ £50 + VAT and another the Glow Plug Timer Relay @ over £300 + VAT.

The question is does anybody know where these relays are located, colour etc?  And does anyone know if the NATS 2 system could be causing the problem, ie if there is a problem with it would this stop the glow plugs from working and allow the engine to turn over?

Any help would be great.

Cheers,

Keith
