Discussed recently this problem, also discovered this part is very expensive (OEM $280.00) & Auto Zone about $220.00, I did take apart the (idle air control valve) curious to see it function, also noticed past the throttle-body assemby( I guess it is called the air intake pleum, is heavy with residue build-up, I cleaned out what I could) put all parts back to same) also curious the in-out part of the idle air control valve has fluid present(anti-freeze???) is this normal, or I have additional problems to solve, inaddition to paying for new IACV, seems I made the problem worst at start-up(check engine lite is on & rev's are up/down on its own) car does run well after warm-up period, also this 3.0 Maxima is not to good on gas mileage, since I have owned it??? hopefully it is related to this Idle air control valve issue, down on my luck  Thanks for any feedback to this issue

You def. need to change that thing.... you will notice a huge difference in driveability.  Pm me if you are interested in a better price for an OEM one.
