Hi all, I'm new to the forum, and have a friend with a 1990 s13 200SX turbo auto...
The speedo is only working very occasionally (although I think the odometer is working). Does anyone have any ideas? I presume the speedo is electronic rather than cable driven.. where is the sensor, and do they fail? Could it be a loose connection? Does the sensor run the odometer as well?
Any info or ideas would be gratefully recieved either on here or by PM.
I've checked the speedo on my Skyline and that is driven by a cable on the drivers side of the gearbox.. is the 200sx the same?

Back on the tailshaft of the transmission(drivers side of it) is a speed sensor, this is most likley bad, be sure to check the wires to it before replacing it. Phil
